It's worthy to inquire tariffs and services 3-4 weeks before migration.
You may call a specialist who can give exact offer for the prospective charges of moving. It's very useful as not everybody can understand easily the final account of 5-6 rows.
During the local survey You can clear Your demands, such as wrapping, rigging, pulling on and down, fixing of equipments.
You can ask for some good advices, help for packaging - it's free of charge at most movers.
So You have time for:
- preparing special wood cases for ornaments of high value or if they are sensitive (e.g. international migration)
- having entry-licences in
To recite the list of furniture is very important when You order the job, so You can make supplier able to send the appropriate headcount. (moving with less headcount is not cheaper than the ideal)
On the day of moving
Booking is among the tasks of the principal - usually 2-3 car place is enough (at the arrival address as well).
Elevator usage - if there is elevator in the house, You should check the usage with the caretaker.
Close the boxes, sacs!
In case the packing is not done by the chosen supplier, You should make sure that the cases, wardrobes are totally empty, as movers will carry them only when they are so.

- bug of electric articles caused by the movement of the truck.
- demages of the content of boxes packed by the principal.
After migration check the boxes, furniture if they are intact with one of our co-workers. Check the cargo bay and the cabin as well!
