What is cargo insurance?
Similar to property insurance of a flat or family house, but cargo insurance provides coverage against risks occurs during delivery.
Coverage covers the time of loading, unloading, delivery and the time of warehousing as well.
Coverage starts when Your items are moved and ends at the time when they are placed to the final place in Your new flat.
It is All Risk Insurance.
Insurance covers lost, total damage, fracture, partial damage, theft, robbery, fire, flooding, accident, etc…
Coverage also covers damage events for which there is no professional liability of the moving company.
For example, natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, lightning strikes, accidents involving a means of transport caused by another person involved in traffic, etc.
Excluded types of damage: the insurance does not cover war, civil war, strike, nuclear materials, etc. damage caused by the action of a higher power, state body. (However, in the case of sea and air transport, the risk of war and strike may be insured at an additional cost) Damage caused by internal deterioration, structural or material defects, as well as damage due to natural wear and tear, cracks, and scratches on the varnish, and peeling of veneer are also excluded.
The coverage does not cover the following assets:
Radioactive materials, jewels, pearls, precious stones, gold, money and securities, blueprints, documents, data carriers, live animals, plants, precious metals, explosives.
However, works of art, antiques, silverware and collections may be provided, but not more than 25% of the value of the entire consignment, or up to a maximum unit price of HUF 10.000.000,-.
