For most people, moving into a new home comes with a lot of work and stress. With Moving Service Kft., moving becomes a simple and stress-free process from the planning stage to moving into your new apartment or house.

After a preliminary consultation or request for a quote, our experts will prepare a personalised offer for you, covering all the details.

We can take care of all your moving needs, such as packing and unpacking your personal and household items, disassembling and assembling your furniture, doing the packing, transporting, and even disconnecting and connecting your washing machine.
If you prefer to pack yourself, you can ask us for boxes and packing materials before your move.

During the move, we will disassemble and pack your furniture as required, and we will also provide protective packaging for your accessories (pictures, lamps, shelves, mirrors, etc.) during the loading process.

The goods are placed and transported on the truck with blankets and cardboard boxes, separated from each other.
The transport is carried out by closed, box trucks.

During unloading, we unpack and assemble the items we have disassembled and packed.
All furniture will be set up in its final location as you request, we can connect the washing machine, and all used packaging material will be removed at the end of the move

Our prices

For moves within Budapest, we apply an hourly rate plus a km charge.
The working time is calculated from the start of the work until the end of the last hour started.
The km distance is calculated based on the distance between the two addresses you move from and to.

The payment shall be made upon the completion of the job, based on an initial charge, the actual time spent on the job, and any packaging material used, and you can pay in cash or by instant bank transfer.

If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please let us know in advance.

 

The hourly rate for a loader / packer is HUF 4,990 plus VAT.

The hourly rate for a 3.5 tons truck, with a 17-21 m3 load capacity and 1.1 – 1.3 tons load weight: HUF 4,990 plus VAT.

For 2 trucks booked: HUF 7,485 plus VAT.

 

Hourly rate for a 3.5 tons truck with 1 man: HUF 9,980 plus VAT.

Hourly rate for a 3.5 tons truck with 2 men: HUF 14,970 plus VAT.

Hourly rate for a 3.5 tons truck with 3 men: HUF 19,960 plus VAT.

Km charge per truck: HUF 180 plus VAT.

 

Hourly rate for two 3.5 tons truck with 4 men: HUF 27,445 plus VAT.

Hourly rate for two 3.5 tons truck with 5 men: HUF 32,435 plus VAT.

Hourly rate for two 3.5 tons truck with 6 men: HUF 37,425 plus VAT.

Km charge for two trucks: HUF 298 plus VAT

 

Additional information for moving within Hungary

 

Moving from Budapest to the countryside:

The hourly rate is applied to the total time between the start of the work, arrival and unloading, and then getting back to the administrative boundary of Budapest. The km charge is applied for the distance between the departure address – arrival address – and then back to administrative boundary of Budapest. After loading, the truck will start driving towards the destination and when leaving the Budapest sign, the odometer mileage will be recorded and the km driven after that will be added to the distance between the departure and the arrival address in the calculation. The same goes for the travel time. If there is more than one countryside arrival address, the km distance from the last arrival address will be used for the calculation by the Google Route Planner.

 

Moving from the countryside to Budapest:

There is a 1-hour initial charge for up to the administrative boundary of Budapest. The working time is counted from the time we leave the Budapest sign until the end of the last working hour. The km charge is also calculated based on the distance between the Budapest sign to the departure address, and then between the departure and arrival address.

 

Moving within two countryside locations:

There is a 1-hour initial charge for up to the administrative boundary of Budapest. The km charge and the working time are calculated from the time we leave the Budapest sign until we return to the administrative boundary of Budapest after the job.

 

Please note:

For work on public holidays, non-working days or at night (between 10 pm and 6 am), a 50% surcharge is applied to the loaders/packers. For moving within Budapest, the largest truck we use is 3.5 tons. The main reasons are access restrictions and difficult traffic and parking.

The initial charge applied in addition to the actual working time: the rate charged for 1 working hour and a km charge for 10 km.
The minimum charge payable for moves: the initial charge plus the fee for 2 working hours.

 

Movers only provided with no need for a truck:

If no truck is needed, we can provide a loading / packing / assembly staff at HUF 5,990 plus VAT / person / hour. The minimum fee charged: the initial charge plus the rate charged for 4 working hours. The initial charge applied within Budapest is the fee charged for 1 working hour.

 

Junk removal:

We can deliver your unwanted items to the Pusztazámor mine or to the ASA Gyáli garbage dump. Computer equipment and documents can be delivered to the premises of REISWOLF Budapest Adat- és Dokumentumkezelő Kft. on Illatos út.

The fee for the disposal of waste is calculated on the basis of the current prices of the service provider, which in all cases are payable in addition to our hourly rates and the km charge.

 

Excess weight charge:

Excess weight charge is levied for moving objects with a weight between 100 kg and 250 kg, varying depending on the weight and the floor to which it needs to be carried. The excess weight charge ranges from HUF 40,000 to HUF 80,000. The excess weight charge is payable in addition to our hourly rates. For over 250 kg weight items we will give you an individual price quote based on an initial survey.

The hourly rates and km charges displayed above are valid only for moves within Budapest and Hungary.
For international moving, we apply a case-by-case price due to different tolls, fuel prices and other costs.

 

Packaging material charges:

Rates for the delivery and return of boxes and packaging materials before/after the move within Budapest: HUF 17,960 plus VAT per case.

Charges for the delivery or return of boxes and packaging materials before/after the move within Pest County: HUF 27,700 plus VAT per case.

Deposit fee/purchase price of the boxes: small box: HUF 1,190 plus VAT per pc, large box: HUF 1,290 plus VAT per pc.

Small box: 40 x 30 x 30 cm – for books, plates, glasses, heavy objects.

Large box: 60 x 40 x 40 cm – for clothes, dishes, bed linen, light kitchen utensils.

Adhesive tape: HUF 950 plus VAT per roll

Stretchable protective foil: HUF 7,200 plus VAT per roll

Laminated, air cushion foil: HUF 595 plus VAT per m (140 cm wide)

Furniture wrapping paper: HUF 576 plus VAT per m (120 cm wide)

Space filler: HUF 12,990 plus VAT per 0.5 m3

Flimsy paper for wrapping: HUF 949 plus VAT per kg

Cardboard: HUF 689 plus VAT per sheet

We offer moving services to the whole area of Hungary, i.e. Baranya, Bács-Kiskun, Békés, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Csongrád, Fejér, Győr-Moson-Sopron, Hajdú-Bihar, Heves, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, Komárom-Esztergom, Nógrád, Pest, Somogy, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg, Tolna, Vas, Veszprém, Zala counties. 

To which to big cities do you provide moving services?

We move to Eger, Miskolc, Nyíregyháza, Debrecen, Békéscsaba, Szeged, Szolnok, Kecskemét, Pécs, Veszprém, Szombathely, Sopron, Győr, Zalaegerszeg, Keszthely. Also on the Balaton lake – Budapest route.

How can I get a quote?

The best way is to fill in our request for quote form, or you can ask for an initial survey, on the basis of which our staff will send you our quote.

The quickest is to give you an indicative price estimate based on a phone conversation.

What should I use for packing?

We encourage our customers to pack everything in boxes. This especially applies to fragile objects. Use an adhesive tape to seal the boxes on the top and bottom! Mark the contents in the boxes so that we can place them on the truck accordingly. Boxes can be stacked well on the truck.

In contrast, plastic bags are slipping, get stuck in the stair railing, get torn out… they are unsuitable for moving. But if you only have plastic bags, please choose stronger ones.

Do I have to disassemble the furniture before moving?

You don’t need to disassemble everything! Only furniture that cannot be carried through the door, in the staircase or cannot be moved in one piece due to its structure.

Our staff can also carry out this work during the move, but please be aware that it will take extra time.

But of course you can also disassemble the furniture yourself in advance.  

Do I need to book a parking space?

It is recommended to do so, as it will speed up the work, and if we finish sooner, you pay less!

How much parking space is needed?

For a 3.5 tons truck, a space for 1.5 to 2 cars is needed, about 8-10 m.

How will my valuables be safe during the packing - moving process?

One of our staff members will always stay at the truck!

In addition to our standard professional moving services, our company offers you the possibility to arrange full cargo insurance cover for the assets entrusted to our company.

Will you carry my furniture into the new apartment?

All furniture will be set up in its final location as you request, we can connect the washing machine, and all used packaging material will be removed at the end of the move

How can I pay?

Our quote will provide details on the method of payment. In short: payment is due at the end of the job and can be made in cash or by instant bank transfer.

How far in advance do I need to book your services?

To be on the safe side, please do it as soon as you can.

For smaller, partial moves, 5-8 days may be enough.

For larger, complete removals, 10-15 days.

For international moves, at least 20-30 days’ notice is recommended.

How can I order your services?

We accept orders in writing, which can also be done in the form of a reply e-mail sent to our quote.

Do you work on weekends?

On Saturdays we do work, on Sundays not, but exceptions can be made by prior arrangement.

Can I travel with you in the truck?

Yes, only in the cab, strictly forbidden to travel in the cargo hold. If there is room in the cab, we will of course be happy to take you.
